March 2009 Wisconsin Foreclosures near all time high

Almost 2,680 new foreclosure filings were filed in Wisconsin during the month of March.

• 3rd all time high monthly total
• 28% increase over March 2008
• 14% increase over February 2009

For the 3 month period ending in March, there were over 7,700 new filings. This is a 9% increase over Q4 2008 and a 16% increase over Q1 2008.

With 22 business days in March, this continues the trend of roughly 120 new foreclosure filings each business day - a trend that has continued for more that 90 days.
